An exciting league and knockout finals

The annual Andrew Williamson Trophy football tournament took place on the 2nd of July this year. An unprecedented number of teams took part as so many of our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils were inspired to join in. It must have been something to do with another event taking place in Russia.

The weather conditions were challenging with high heat and bone dry pitches. Nevertheless, an exciting competition unfolded leading to a final between "England" and "Senegal". Despite a spirited performance, "England" fell short leaving "Senegal" to take the prize.
