Return to Rivermead

Thursday, 7th November 2019

Pupil Voice Representatives visited the residents at Rivermead Care home again on the 7th November. This time we took games, jigsaws and some arts and crafts activities. The residents particularly enjoyed the board games this time, especially ‘Operation’ and ‘Jenga’!

We spent a lot of time speaking to the residents on our visit. It was really nice getting to know them a little bit better. We met a lady called Barbara who told us she is turning 96 in December, and a gentleman who used to play cricket for teams in York and Selby.

We had some really interesting conversations and enjoyed telling the residents about our own hobbies, like playing football and going to ballet lessons.

We can’t wait to see the residents next month when they visit school. Thanks for having us!
