Gold Award

A group of Year 2 children have been working hard all year to achieve their Gold Award for the ‘Together With Music’ scheme. Gold Award required us to visit the residents of our local community link in person and we had been planning a visit to Rivermead care home for weeks. Sadly we had to cancel at the last minute but, thankfully, we were able to host a Zoom meeting instead.
The children had been practising their skills at play times and lunch times for weeks, working hard to perfect their talents. We had joke-tellers, magicians, dancers and singers, ready and eager to perform in our talent show.
The children did a BRILLIANT job and we have had some lovely feedback from the care homes. One resident said that it had made his day, and another said that the children had made the world seem like a brighter place. Well done, Year 2! Congratulations on achieving GOLD AWARD!
