Vegetable Soup Competition

Mrs Deamer ran a whole school vegetable soup competition. Who won?

It was all part of our participation in the national Eat Them to Defeat Them campaign. Children were invited to create a vegetable soup recipe or design their own label for a tin of vegetable soup.

Our Year 6 Pupil Voice representatives judged the entries and after much deliberation, cogitation, and imagined digestion, they decided that the Lucas, in Year 5 was the recipe winner. The proud winner of the label design was Mardhiah, in Year 2. Her colourful design is displayed around school for all to see and celebrate.

As the recipe winner, Lucas has been able to select a few friends who will help him prepare, cook and taste his soup in our community kitchen.
