East Barnby 2025

We left Norton with high hopes and in an adventurous spirit. The weather held until just before tea time, and even then the light drizzle could not dampen our mood.

Tuesday’s weather was an improving picture all day long. Fortunate because we dashed up to breakfast in the rain. We sat down to sausages, eggs, mushrooms and tomato with all the usual breakfast trimmings; cereal, toast, jam, etc.

The weather started fine and stayed lovely all day. We breakfasted on beans and bacon, with hash browns on the side. Wednesday was for canoing and sailing, with the groups switching round to take their turn.

There are some quite tired children after our fourth day of action at East Barnby. Nevertheless, the majority got going quickly and eagerly this morning.
