Reading

Every day, we share songs, poems and good books. Our aim is to promote a love of reading by showing how we enjoy it.

We teach children to read by using a structured phonics programme. This introduces written letters and the sounds we need to make when reading.

Good books and other high quality texts are embedded within our EYFS Curriculum. They are available across the learning environment in order to inspire and engage the children. We promote a love of reading with inviting reading areas and exciting storytelling sessions.
